I like to call myself a gifted fabric hunter - so to say a shark inside the world of fabrics! I don't settle with just any fabric (is this the French in me?!)  and so I just recently discovered new fabric made in Japan! You bet this is some good quality fabric!! 

I can always scout out a fabric of your choice for your custom made products! I'd love that and it makes me so so happy!!

Eller Handmade Jackets are made of a High Quality Wool Cashmere Fabric -made in Italy! Wow. I am so excited I came across this incredible high quality fabric!

 Additionally, this fabric is blended with nylon which increases the performance of wool. Wow again!

As a little side story - since living in the US I haven't found the quality in wool fabric I am looking for in kids clothing. It has to be a light weighted wool fabric that is still soft to touch! So far I have only found wool fabric which is light enough for kids garments in - tadaaaa who would've guessed - Germany. I can't even put in words how excitedI got when I finally discovered this Italian Wool Cashmere blend that I have access through a fabric shop in Brooklyn, NYC! Yes, I know what you're thinking - here's the shark in the world of fabrics again. I told you and really meant what I said!

If you're up for some nerdy technical fabric details here we go: it's the best choice for kids jackets with a fabric weight of just 13.10 oz/yard. You probably know how heavy adult wool coats can be and we're not looking for that in kids clothing! Let your child enjoy the warmth and breathability of wool jackets without the heavy weight! 

Sometimes wool can be itchy (at least to the French snob in me haha) - the cashmere in this wool fabric provides and additional soft feel to keep kids cozy. 

And as a little (nerdy) extra plus point - wool is a very sustainable fibre and 100% biodegradable. 

I noticed my little ones more relaxed when wearing Eller Handmade jackets because they keep warm without getting too hot on the school bus (after we moved to the US) or the subway (when we lived in Berlin, Germany). 

And for the moms who love shopping as much as I do - you can easier take your children with you for a quick run in a shop without the hazzle of getting them in and out of their jackets or them getting uncomfortable (can I say whiny?) due to the indoor air. Love it!
